How Rami Apps handles information when you install and use the Honey Badger Shopify application.
Last updated: September 13, 2026Information we process
When you install Honey Badger, we receive and store information needed to operate the app, including your shop domain, Shopify authorization sessions, app settings, plan status, task configuration, schedules, and run history.
To evaluate and maintain badge rules, Honey Badger reads and stores relevant Shopify catalog data, including product and variant identifiers, titles, handles, status, tags, images, inventory, prices, costs, selected product metafields, and product timestamps. When sales-based conditions are used, the app also processes order and line-item identifiers, product and variant identifiers, quantities, prices, discounts, and order timestamps.
Honey Badger does not intentionally store customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment details, or other customer profile information.
How we use information
We use this information to synchronize store data, preview and evaluate product conditions, assign and remove product tags or supported metafield values, run tasks manually or on schedule, calculate task results, provide run history, and support the app.
We do not sell merchant, customer, or shop data.
Optional connections
If you connect Google Analytics 4, Honey Badger receives read-only access to the selected Analytics property. We store encrypted authorization tokens, property details, connection status, and aggregated product-page view counts used by your badge conditions. Honey Badger does not install a storefront tracking script.
If you create an assistant-access token, we store a one-way hash and limited audit information needed to authenticate requests. Temporary task previews may be stored so that proposed changes can be reviewed before they are applied.
Service providers
We use Shopify to authenticate stores, read permitted store data, apply merchant-requested product updates, and process subscriptions. Infrastructure providers process application data on our behalf to host the service, database, and background jobs. Google processes Analytics data only when you choose to connect Google Analytics.
Retention and deletion
Application data is retained while needed to provide Honey Badger and maintain operational records. Shopify authorization sessions are removed when the app is uninstalled. Following Shopify’s required shop-redaction process, stored shop data associated with Honey Badger is deleted. You may also contact us to request deletion of app data associated with your shop.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect data in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it to operate and support Honey Badger. Google authorization tokens are encrypted before storage.
Your choices
You can disconnect Google Analytics, revoke assistant-access tokens, change or delete badge tasks, or uninstall Honey Badger at any time. Shopify also provides controls for managing app permissions and subscriptions.
